Hi, I’m Andrea Cole Fyhrlund, and I’m the SWE-WI
Newsletter Editor. I’m an electrical engineer at Rockwell
Automation in Mequon, WI, where I have been working for 11 years. I
spent 10 years in circuit board test engineering, creating
in-circuit test equipment for verification of our circuit boards
while they’re in production. In June of ’06 I was fortunate enough
to move into a Project Manager position in Rockwell’s “Lean 100”
group. This is a new program that Rockwell is developing, where we
work on increasing our production efficiency by using Lean/Six Sigma
tools.
I’ve been a member of SWE since I was a student
at Michigan Technological University. I have enjoyed SWE membership
as a means for meeting and networking with other engineers. It’s
always interesting to hear what other engineers are doing in their
careers. I feel that there are excellent networking, leadership,
and learning opportunities with SWE, and look forward to another
great year! |
